Short answer: hold USD, spend TB
Save earned USD for the 1st and 15th, when the app offers 300 TB per dollar. Spend ordinary TerraBucks as soon as the balance reaches the 100 TB needed for a property.
At the standard rate, $1 becomes 200 TB: two properties. On a bonus date, that same $1 becomes 300 TB: three properties. That is 50% more property purchasing power.
One dollar now versus one dollar on a bonus day
| Choice | TB received | Properties | Modeled added monthly rate* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Convert immediately | 200 | 2 | ~$0.141 |
| Wait for a 300-TB date | 300 | 3 | ~$0.211 |
*Uses the current experiment’s weighted-average property yield and a 20× boost kept active for 23 hours per day. Mine mix and future app terms may differ.
Does buying earlier overcome the missing property?
Not within the normal wait to the next bonus day. In the September 2026 model, an average property produces about $0.0703 per boosted month, or roughly $0.00231 per day.
Even if a standard-rate conversion happens 14 days earlier, its two properties add only:
At 200 TB per dollar, that extra rent buys about 0.13 of a property. By the bonus date, converting early has modeled purchasing power of roughly 2.13 properties; waiting purchases three.
The rough break-even is about 88 days. Two average properties would need that long to compound into the equivalent of the third property the bonus provides.
What about a five-day hybrid?
Saving USD only during the final five days before a bonus date is better than converting every dollar instantly, but it still gives away the premium on dollars earned six to fifteen days before each promotion.
| Modeled strategy* | January cash preserved | Projected monthly rate after cash goal |
|---|---|---|
| Always convert at 200 TB | ~$202 | ~$227/mo |
| Five-day hybrid | ~$200 | ~$242/mo |
| Wait for every 300-TB date | ~$207 | ~$263/mo |
*Illustrative output from the $200/month experiment: 2,000 TB/day for the first month, then 1,500 TB/day, with the same property-yield assumptions.
Simple conversion-day routine
- Use ordinary TB at 100 TB. Buy the property when the balance reaches the property price.
- Keep earned USD unconverted. Preserve it for the next 300-TB date.
- Verify the promotion in the app. Do not assume the date or rate stayed unchanged.
- Convert saved USD at 300 TB per dollar. Then buy every whole property the TB balance supports.
- Record the result. Note USD converted, TB received, properties added and updated rent.
The important exception: protect cash for withdrawal
Once the objective changes from growth to proving a payout, reinvesting every dollar is no longer automatically correct. The active experiment targets two completed $100 withdrawals by January 25, 2027. Near that deadline, USD must remain unconverted long enough to be withdrawable.
The better rule is: reinvest at the best rate until the chosen cash reserve is protected, then stop converting the amount needed for the withdrawal test.
FAQ
Should I wait to spend TerraBucks too?
No. The bonus applies to USD conversion, not existing TB. Once you hold 100 TB, buying starts the property’s earnings clock.
What if I miss the 1st or 15th?
Do not force an outside-cash purchase to compensate. Resume the routine, verify the next offer and record the miss as a real operating constraint.
Is this investment advice?
No. This is a documented personal beer-money experiment. Terms, earnings rates and withdrawals can change, and a displayed run rate is not proof of a successful cashout.
