The experiment
TerraMine is currently my favorite beer-money experiment, but projected earnings are not the same thing as money received. This page will track whether aggressive free TerraBuck acquisition, near-continuous boosts and disciplined reinvestment can produce a meaningful, repeatable cash withdrawal.
The victory condition
I will count the experiment as successful only if I can withdraw $100 twice, respecting TerraMine's reported $100-per-24-hour withdrawal limit, no later than January 25, 2027. A dashboard showing “$200 per month” without a completed withdrawal is not enough.
Starting snapshot
| Mine type | Properties | Displayed monthly rent |
|---|---|---|
| Rock | 105 | $0.299376 |
| Coal | 48 | $0.199066 |
| Gold | 22 | $0.125738 |
| Diamond | 2 | $0.023266 |
These are observed account figures from September 5, 2026. Future results will vary because newly purchased properties are assigned mine types randomly.
September 17 checkpoint
This is the first material update after the September 5 baseline. The account has grown by 119 properties, or about 67%, and its displayed base rent has increased by about 62%. Those are real gains, but they do not yet match the original high-output production schedule below.
| Mine type | Properties | Displayed monthly rent |
|---|---|---|
| Rock | 181 | $0.516067 |
| Coal | 86 | $0.356659 |
| Gold | 27 | $0.154250 |
| Diamond | 2 | $0.023266 |
| Total | 296 | $1.050242 |
The profile rounded the displayed total to $1.0497. The mine-type rows total $1.050242; I use the unrounded sum only for the current mine-mix calculation.
October 1 checkpoint: 556 properties and 2,728 TB
The portfolio now contains 346 Rock, 156 Coal, 49 Gold and 5 Diamond mines. Unspent TB is included in acquisition progress: at 100 TB per property, 2,728 TB can buy 27 properties with 28 TB left over. It represents 27.28 property equivalents, but earns no rent until spent.
The screenshot labels $0.194603 as the current balance, not lifetime USD earned. The account's TB-earned counter is also reported as displayed; its treatment of conversions and other rewards has not been independently reconciled.
| Metric | Sept. 26 checkpoint* | Oct. 1 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deployed properties | 387 | 556 | +169 |
| Unspent TB | 2,615 | 2,728 | +113 |
| Property equivalents incl. TB | 413.15 | 583.28 | +170.13 |
| Reported TB earned | 31,512 | 47,658 | +16,146 |
| Acquisition value at 100 TB/property | 41,315 TB | 58,328 TB | +17,013 TB |
*September 26 figures are the checkpoint recorded in our preceding progress discussion. The September 17 snapshot above remains the earlier published baseline.
Separate the $14 conversion from gameplay
On October 1, I converted $14 of accrued USD into 4,200 TB at 300 TB per dollar: 42 properties worth of purchasing power. This is reinvestment, not evidence of 4,200 TB earned from minigames.
Over approximately five days, deployed properties plus TB increased by 17,013 TB of acquisition value. Removing this known conversion leaves 12,813 TB, or about 2,563 TB/day. Other rewards or adjustments may be included, so this is not a verified gameplay-only rate.
The reported TB-earned counter rose by 16,146. If it includes the conversion, subtracting 4,200 gives 11,946 TB, or 2,389 TB/day; if it excludes conversions, that subtraction would be inappropriate. Its 867-TB difference from acquisition-value growth is unresolved. I will use acquisition value for progress tracking and avoid claiming the counter proves an exact organic rate.
Has Gold Expert improved the pace?
The observed Gold Expert reward is 8 TB per completion, or 40 TB for five completions and the associated reward ad. This improves the reward per set relative to the lower Gold levels, although actual TB per hour still depends on play and ad time.
Reported TB earned increased by 10,004 between September 17 and 26, about 1,112 TB/day. The latest acquisition-value pace after removing the known conversion is about 2,563 TB/day. These measures differ, but the checkpoints show a substantial acceleration consistent with the Gold method helping. They do not isolate Gold's contribution from playing time, referrals or other rewards. The September 17–26 interval also already overlaps the Gold discovery, so it is not a clean before-and-after test.
October 15 checkpoint: 883 mines and 4,800 TB
The October 15 promotional conversion is complete: $22 of accrued in-game USD was exchanged for 6,600 TB at 300 TB per dollar. This is reinvestment of account earnings, not a withdrawal or a new outside cash deposit. The Pioneer Pass remains a separate subscription expense.
| Mine type | Mines | Displayed base monthly rent |
|---|---|---|
| Rock | 530 | $1.511136 |
| Coal | 271 | $1.123891 |
| Gold | 74 | $0.422206 |
| Diamond | 8 | $0.091695 |
| Total | 883 | $3.148928 |
Progress since October 1 and October 9
| Metric | Oct. 1 | Oct. 9 | Oct. 15 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deployed mines | 556 | 718 | 883 |
| Unspent TB | 2,728 | 407 | 4,800 |
| Mine equivalents incl. TB | 583.28 | 722.07 | 931 |
| Reported TB earned | 47,658 | 60,036 | 79,892 |
| Check-ins | 390 | 471 | 528 |
From October 1 to October 15, acquisition value increased by 34,772 TB (347.72 mine equivalents), averaging about 2,484 TB/day including reinvestments. After subtracting the known October 15 conversion of 6,600 TB, the residual is 28,172 TB, or about 2,012 TB/day. This is an acquisition-value measure, not verified minigame-only production: other conversions, referrals or adjustments during the interval have not been fully reconciled.
From October 9 to October 15, acquisition value grew by 20,893 TB. Subtracting the 6,600-TB conversion leaves 14,293 TB over approximately six days, or about 2,382 TB/day from other sources, again not necessarily all gameplay. The October 9 screenshot showed 407 TB, which is more precise than the earlier rough 400-TB figure.
Updated target mathematics
At the present mix, each mine produces about $0.06851 per modeled boosted month. Reaching a $200 monthly run rate would therefore require about 2,920 mines, assuming unchanged rates, mix and boost uptime. With 883 deployed and 48 more mine-equivalents in TB, acquisition progress is approximately 31.9%.
Remaining acquisition requirement: approximately 198,900 TB (2,920 minus 931 mine equivalents, at 100 TB each). At 2,000 TB/day without future conversions, that takes roughly 100 days, reaching the run rate around late January 2027. At 2,500 TB/day it takes roughly 80 days, around early January. Those are run-rate dates, not dates when $200 will have accumulated for withdrawal.
Earlier $200/month math (October 1 model)
For historical comparison, the October 1 calculation used a 20× boost for 23 hours and ordinary rent for one hour each day:
The mine-type rent rows sum to $1.970661, slightly above the displayed total. For consistency, this update uses the displayed $1.9701. At the current mix, each deployed property contributes about $0.06806 per modeled boosted month, implying about 2,939 properties for a $200 monthly earning rate.
At that October 1 checkpoint, deployed progress was 556 / 2,939, or 18.92%. Including TB gives 19.85%. The older 2,800-property shorthand would show 20.83% effective progress, but would yield only about $190.57/month at this mix and boost assumption.
| Future TB/day* | Whole days needed | Approximate target date |
|---|---|---|
| 2,400 | 99 | January 8, 2027 |
| 2,563 | 92 | January 1, 2027 |
| 3,000 | 79 | December 19, 2026 |
| 4,000 | 59 | November 29, 2026 |
*Counted from October 1, rounding up to whole days. These are acquisition-only scenarios, excluding future USD conversions and assuming TB is spent promptly. They are not forecasts of completed withdrawals.
The operating strategy
- Keep the earnings boost active about 23 hours daily. The missing hour creates a modest allowance for sleep, ads failing or ordinary human error.
- Spend ordinary TB promptly. Once 100 TB is available, buying another property starts its rent clock.
- Do not exchange USD at the ordinary 200-TB rate. Accumulate USD for the 1st and 15th, when TerraMine currently offers 300 TB per dollar.
- Reassess reinvestment at every checkpoint. Each bonus-rate dollar purchases three properties rather than two, but cash reserved for January must take priority.
- Protect the January withdrawal. Convert only a surplus supported by an updated cash-balance projection; skip January 15 and preserve cash for the two withdrawals.
Why the 300-TB dates matter
At 100 TB per property, $1 converted normally purchases two mines. On a bonus date it purchases three. The maximum wait is only about half a month, while our model estimates that two immediately purchased average mines would need roughly 88 days of continuous reinvestment to compound into the equivalent of three.
| Use of $1 earned | TB received | Properties purchased | Added modeled monthly rent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Convert immediately | 200 | 2 | ~$0.136 |
| Wait for bonus date | 300 | 3 | ~$0.204 |
That 50% increase in purchasing power helps, but sustained minigame TB production is now the main acquisition driver. The October 1 conversion represented 42 properties; the October 15 conversion of $22 provided another 66 mine-equivalents in TB. Both conversions reinvested in-game earnings rather than producing cash withdrawals.
Original plan versus actual pace
The original working plan was to average 2,000 TB per day for the first 30 days, followed by 1,500 TB per day through January. The table below is retained as the original model—not rewritten after the fact.
| Bonus date | Projected properties | 23-hour boosted monthly rate |
|---|---|---|
| September 15, 2026 | ~425 | ~$29.86 |
| October 1, 2026 | ~811 | ~$56.98 |
| October 15, 2026 | ~1,126 | ~$79.11 |
| November 1, 2026 | ~1,528 | ~$107.36 |
| November 15, 2026 | ~1,897 | ~$133.29 |
| December 1, 2026 | ~2,362 | ~$165.96 |
| December 15, 2026 | ~2,812 | ~$197.58 |
| January 1, 2027 | ~3,415* | ~$239.94* |
| January 25, 2027 | ~3,745 | ~$263 |
*The January 1 projection assumes converting most—not all—of the available balance and retaining a cash safety reserve. Figures are mathematical estimates rather than promised returns.
September 17 assessment: behind the original schedule
Yes: the account is behind the original production schedule. The September 15 checkpoint modeled roughly 425 properties; the September 17 account holds 296, a gap of about 129 properties. The reported TB total rose from 11,875 to 21,508—an increase of 9,633 TB over roughly 12 days, or about 803 TB per calendar day. That figure includes the 3,000 TB referral rewards, so the ordinary gameplay pace is lower than 803 TB/day if those rewards were earned during this period.
This is not a reason to hide the update or declare the experiment worthless. It is precisely the distinction this page is designed to test: a spreadsheet schedule is not the same thing as a sustainable daily routine. The $200 January withdrawal goal remains possible only under a much stronger pace, more conversion proceeds, or a later deadline; it is no longer the outcome implied by the original September model.
What it would take to regain the original track
- To reach the original October 1 property checkpoint: about 515 additional properties in roughly 13 days—close to 4,000 TB per day before counting any USD-to-TB conversions.
- To reach the original December 15 checkpoint: about 2,516 additional properties from the September 17 snapshot—roughly 2,860 TB per day through December 15 before conversion proceeds.
- To reach the current-mix $200 run-rate model by December 15: about 2,640 additional properties, or roughly 3,000 TB per day before conversion proceeds.
October 1 assessment: faster, but still behind the original model
The original October 1 projection was 811 properties. Actual holdings are 556, a shortfall of 255; counting unspent TB narrows the acquisition gap to 227.72 property equivalents. Since September 17, deployed holdings have nevertheless risen by 260 properties, or 87.8%, and the modeled boosted rent has increased from about $20.16 to $37.84/month.
The recent pace after removing the known $14 conversion is materially stronger. Maintaining roughly 2,563 TB/day points to the current-mix $200 run rate around January 1 before future reinvestment. At 3,000 TB/day, the target is around December 19. This improves the January outlook, but does not establish that two $100 withdrawals will be funded by January 25.
October 15 reassessment: The new 883-mine portfolio plus 4,800 TB represents 931 mine equivalents, versus the original October 15 plan of about 1,126 mines. The shortfall is about 195 mine equivalents, but the acquisition pace has improved substantially. See the new October 15 checkpoint for current projections and the separate cashout constraint.
Daily pace bands (October 1 assumptions)
January withdrawal plan
The experiment is deliberately optimized around cash leaving the platform, not infinite reinvestment.
- Review the cash balance and expected rent before every promotional conversion.
- By December 15, decide whether further reinvestment would jeopardize the January cash reserve.
- On January 1, convert only a demonstrably safe surplus; there is no established safe $10 reserve in the current data.
- Skip January 15 conversion and aim to fund the first $100 withdrawal by January 24.
- Respect the reported 24-hour interval and aim for the second $100 withdrawal by January 25, subject to processing and current rules.
At October 1, the current balance was only $0.194603 following reinvestment; after the October 15 $22 conversion, the latest observed balance is $0.407413. A $200 monthly rate is approximately $6.67 per day on a 30-day basis, so a nearly empty balance would need about 30 days at that rate to accumulate $200. Reaching that rate on January 1 leaves only about 24 days to January 25. Rent earned while growing, retained cash and higher later rates can help, but further conversions reduce that cash.
October 15 verdict: acquisition has accelerated, but the January withdrawal goal remains challenging because cash was reinvested and the projected $200/month run rate has not yet been attained. Future reports must track the withdrawable cash balance alongside properties and TB. Success still requires two completed $100 withdrawals, not just a projected earning rate.
What could break the model?
This projection is unusually strong because the current combination of a 20× boost and 300-TB conversion days is unusually generous. It should not be treated as permanent.
- The boost multiplier or available boost hours could change.
- The 300-TB promotion could be reduced, limited or discontinued.
- Mini-game rewards or the practical daily TB rate could decline.
- Mine earning rates could be adjusted.
- The random property mix could be materially worse than projected.
- Withdrawal requirements, limits, fees or processing times could change.
- Maintaining 23 boosted hours may prove less realistic over several months.
- TerraMine itself is young and lacks a long withdrawal history.
For that reason, I am treating this as a high-upside experiment—not guaranteed passive income. I do not intend to use substantial outside cash merely to rescue the target if the production schedule falls behind.
Experiment update log
177 properties: 105 rock, 48 coal, 22 gold and 2 diamond. Displayed monthly rent is $0.647446, with $1.616190 total USD earned and 183 TB available. The modeled 23-hour boosted rate is approximately $12.44 per month.
The official objective is two completed $100 withdrawals by January 25, 2027. The working acquisition schedule is 2,000 TB per day for the first month and 1,500 per day afterward, with USD reserved for 300-TB conversion dates.
The portfolio reached 296 properties: 181 rock, 86 coal, 27 gold and 2 diamond. The mine rows total $1.050242 in displayed monthly base rent, while the profile displayed $1.0497. Using the same 23-hour boost assumption, the current estimate is about $20.16 per month. Total reported TB earned is 21,508, total USD earned is $1.974812, and 246 check-ins have been made.
Three successful referrals have produced 3,000 TB in total. At the time of this update, TerraMine states that both people receive 1,000 TB after the referred player signs up, buys a first TerraAcre and returns on a later day. Referral rewards are useful but should not be treated as dependable daily production.
The account is behind the original September 15 property checkpoint. The original plan is preserved above for comparison with subsequent actual results.
Recorded checkpoint: 387 properties, 2,615 TB unspent and 31,512 reported TB earned. Including TB, acquisition progress was 413.15 property equivalents.
556 properties, 2,728 TB unspent, 47,658 reported TB earned and 390 check-ins. Composition: 346 Rock, 156 Coal, 49 Gold and 5 Diamond. Displayed base rent is $1.9701/month; modeled 23-hour boosted rent is about $37.84/month. Current USD balance is $0.194603.
Converted $14 of accrued USD into 4,200 TB on the 300-TB promotional day. Effective acquisition progress is 583.28 property equivalents. Acquisition value grew by 17,013 TB since September 26; excluding the known conversion leaves about 2,563 TB/day over approximately five days, with other reward sources unresolved.
The Gold Expert 8-TB reward is consistent with improved output, but its isolated effect has not been measured. The current mine mix implies about 2,939 properties for a $200 monthly run rate. Original benchmarks remain visible; January withdrawals still depend on retaining enough cash.
718 mines, 407 TB available, 60,036 reported TB earned, 471 check-ins and $2.5451 in displayed base monthly rent. Modeled 23-hour boosted rent was about $48.89/month.
883 mines (530 rock, 271 coal, 74 gold, 8 diamond), 4,800 TB remaining, 79,892 reported TB earned and 528 check-ins. Displayed base monthly rent is $3.148928; modeled 23-hour boosted rent is about $60.49. Converted $22 of accrued in-game USD into 6,600 TB at the promotional 300-TB rate. The observed current USD balance is $0.407413. Reaching the January withdrawal goal still requires building an actual cash reserve, not merely a higher run rate.
Future checkpoints will add actual property counts, mine composition, displayed rent, TB production, referral effects and—most importantly—withdrawal evidence.
Frequently asked questions
Can TerraMine really make $200 per month?
The current mathematics says it is possible under aggressive acquisition and near-continuous boosting, but this experiment has not proven it yet. The October 15 mix implies approximately 2,920 mines under the 23-hour boost assumption. Actual holdings are 883 plus 4,800 TB; acquisition is faster but remains behind the original model, and completed withdrawals remain unproven.
Why not convert USD immediately for 200 TB?
Waiting for a 300-TB day turns each dollar into three properties instead of two. The additional days of immediate rent are nowhere near sufficient to overcome losing one-third of the eventual properties.
Why assume only 23 boosted hours?
A perfect 24-hour schedule is operationally fragile. One unboosted hour per day provides a modest allowance for sleep, forgotten timers, failed advertisements and ordinary mistakes.
Is this investment advice?
No. This is a documented personal beer-money experiment. Projected app earnings carry platform, rule-change and withdrawal risk, especially when earnings are continually reinvested.
